The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council was recognized twice at the Region 3 National Agri-Marketing Association’s banquet last Thursday night (January 22nd) in Des Moines.
SDCUC received a merit award for their “This Is Farming,” campaign in the Producer-Funded Advertising Directed to Consumers category.
This Is Farming tells the story about the impact agriculture has on South Dakota and its people via website, television spots, YouTube videos and other social media.
The second project recognized on Thursday included a merit award for their new “SD Corn Alerts” app in the Mobile Phone app category.
SD Corn Alerts instantly informs users about policy information, news and events on their mobile device via email, text message and/or push notification. The app allows users to respond instantly to legislators or other elected officials.
Both winners will advance to the national NAMA competition this April in Kansas City, MO.
South Dakota Corn has been nationally recognized at NAMA in recent years including Best of Show in 2012 for their Ag Rules campaign. Other nationally recognized work includes the “True Environmentalists” campaign, Amazing Corn Adventure trailer, “Thank a Farmer” campaign, and Corn on a Mission matching game.
“We are honored to have our projects recognized regionally and nationally year after year,” said Teddi Mueller, Industry Affairs Director at South Dakota Corn. “Paulsen Marketing continues to do a great job for us and we couldn’t ask for a better team of creative and professional individuals to work with. They don’t simply understand agriculture, but live it.”
