Roger Krueger of Aberdeen, who serves as the industry representative for the South Dakota Corn Growers Association board of directors, has more than 30 years of experience in the grain marketing industry.
Krueger, senior vice president of grain for the South Dakota Wheat Growers, was appointed to the corn board n 2016. Before joining the Wheat Growers in 1999, he worked for 13 years for Continental Grain.
He also serves as a director of the National Grain and Feed Association and is chairman of that organization’s arbitration appeals committee.
Krueger said he chose his profession because he enjoys combining his agricultural and farm background and interests with the action of a dynamic market. He said the most important issue facing today’s corn producers is sustainability – economic, regulatory and environmental.
Kueger attended the University of Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration. He has ownership in farm ground with a brother back in Missouri, raising corn and soybeans.
He and his wife, Victoria, have a daughter, Kayla, and a son, Thomas.
