As demand for renewable fuel has grown over the past several years, South Dakota has emerged as the fifth largest of the nation’s leading ethanol producing states. Our 15 ethanol fuel plants have the capacity to produce more than 1 billion gallons of per year, according to Renewable Fuels Association statistics.
