Research

Research SDCUC invests checkoff dollars to develop new technology for new uses of corn through ongoing and collaborative research efforts. As such we work to promote projects that either provide a meaningful increase in the consumption of corn, lead to new profitability marketing opportunities or provide useful objective information to corn producers.

SDCUC works to maintain and expand existing markets as well as create new markets for corn through research areas involving corn breeding and genetics, value-added research, livestock utilization, dairy science and production research. Through these programs, our goal is to increase profitability for producers by increasing production efficiency and finding new uses for corn.
