Chad Blindauer lives in Mitchell, SD where he farms corn, soybeans, winter wheat, alfalfa with his dad, Don. Chad also has a cow-calf beef operation. Chad joined the SDCUC board of directors in March of 2008. He also serves on the NCGA Biotechnology Action Team.
Chad returned to the farm after college. Chad said that he chose the farming profession because, "I enjoy being outdoors, and I like the challenges farming gives me."
Chad and his wife Kristy have three children: Alexis, Kane, and Devin. In his spare time, Chad enjoys spending time with his family.
The most important issue facing today's corn producer according to Chad is "marketing, and becoming an efficient low cost producer in today's challenging economy."
