Chad Blindauer - District 9
Chad Blindauer lives in Mitchell, SD where he farms corn, soybeans, sorghum, winter wheat, alfalfa, and prairie hay. Chad also has a cow-calf beef operation. Chad has served on the SDCGA board since January 2001.
Chad attended the American Diesel Automotive College in Denver, CO and returned to the farm after college. Chad said that he chose the farming profession because, "I enjoy being outdoors, and I like the challenges farming gives me."
Chad's and his wife Kristy have three children: Alexis, Kane, and Devin. In his spare time, Chad enjoys his snowmobile, camping, and watching NASCAR.
The most important issue facing today's corn producer according to Chad is "marketing, and marketplace concentration."
