Mark Klumb - District 11 - Member at Large

Mark KlumbMark Klumb lives in Mt. Vernon, SD in Davison County. Mark started farming by joining his father on the farm after graduating high school in 1971; his business consists of wheat, corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and a stock cow operation. He was elected to the SDCGA’s At-Large District in 2004.

Mark says he chose this profession because he enjoys all aspects of farming, including the farm-family lifestyle that he experienced growing up and wanted to pass on to his family.

Mark and his wife Becky have six children: Joshua, Anessa, Mariah, Natasha, Micah, and Jeremiah, all of which were home schooled. When Mark has a break from the farming activities, he likes to spend time with his family, read the news and travel.

According to Mark, the most important issues facing producers is ethanol promotion, world consumption, new technologies and the changing face of agriculture.
