During this week’s Corn Comments Podcast, Jim Woster talks about how much ethanol saves consumers and families at the gas pump. A recent study from Iowa State University and the University of Wisconson revealed that domestic ethanol saved Midwestern drivers $1.69 per gallon on average. Nationally, ethanol saved consumers $1.09 per gallon on average and saved American families around $1,200 per year. Besides financial savings, there are a number of other benefits to ethanol including enhanced energy security and cleaner emissions, but the point is that ethanol makes a difference.
