Did you know that less than 1% of the corn grown in South Dakota  is sweet corn, which is the kind humans directly consume? 99% of the corn grown in South Dakota and across the United States for that matter is dent corn which is used for livestock feed, biofuels, plastics, carpet, cleaners, sweeteners and thousands of other items that benefit our daily lives.
