After spending 21 years as a reporter and copy editor with the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Randy Hascall started working for South Dakota Corn in November 2010. He covered agricultural and agribusiness issues throughout much of his newspaper career.
The Nebraska native grew up on a farm where he enjoyed growing crops, caring for animals and digging postholes by hand, but hated cutting weeds out of milo fields and stacking hay bales on 100-degree days.
His hobbies include photography, woodworking, golf, table tennis and playing pranks. He and his wife, Barb, live near Tea. Their family includes two adult children, Jason and Heidi; their spouses, Jenny and Ryan; and two grandchildren.
