Julia Fulton joined the South Dakota Corn staff in November 2020. Her role focuses on coordinating communication efforts for the organization through a variety of means such as blogs, articles, talking points, news releases, issue-based comments, podcasts and radio programming. She also acts as the main point of contact between the organization and media outlets.
In her role Julia works closely with the South Dakota Corn team to promote corn and advocate on behalf of farmers across South Dakota.
A Pennsylvania native, Julia spent much of her childhood growing up among the rolling hills and tobacco fields near Lexington, Kentucky on her family’s hobby horse farm. Julia returned to Erie, Pennsylvania where she attended Gannon University and earned a B.A. in English, professional writing, and communications. She worked as a marketing coordinator and copywriter at a marketing agency in Erie before moving to South Dakota.
In her spare time Julia enjoys kayaking, reading, baking, reality T.V. and exploring the local food and culture scenes.
