40th Anniversary

In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of South Dakota Corn, past presidents of the South Dakota Corn Growers Association and the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council come together to share an oral history of the organizations.

The SDCGA was founded in 1986 and lobbied for the creation of the SDCUC in 1988. Former and current leaders reflect on key milestones, challenges, and decisions that helped build South Dakota Corn into what it is today.

This conversation preserves the voices and stories of those who led the organizations forward—and offers insight into how their legacy continues to guide the future of South Dakota agriculture.

For four decades, South Dakota corn farmers have built a legacy of innovation, resilience and community. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of SD Corn, we invite you to be part of this historic milestone.
