A Special Thanksgiving Message from Jim Woster

Welcome to Corn Comments! I’m Jim Woster and we are brought to you by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers, who promote corn in this state, the United States and around the globe.

Yes, this is the week of Thanksgiving and in the profession of agriculture, it is most often a time when things finally slow down just a bit. It is also when we might spend a bit of time reflecting on the many good things that we have in our lives. As a person, who has spent a lifetime working in agriculture and much of that time with our farm and ranch families, allow me to express a heartfelt thank you for providing us with the most abundant, economical, and nutritious food for our tables. You often do this when your daily efforts are more than a little difficult as you deal with weather and prices, and like all families, various personal problems. It is our hope and prayer that this Thanksgiving time is all that you hope for, that your families are healthy and that you can gather as one at the Thanksgiving table.

On behalf of the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, be safe in your labors than thanks for all that you do.
