Corn Comments featuring Jay Esser, SDCUC Vice President

Welcome to Corn Comments! I’m Jay Esser, Vice President of the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers who promote corn marketing in this state, the U.S., and around the globe.

Recently, members of the U.S. House of Representatives weighed in on the importance of a legislative solution allowing for the sale of E15, also known as Unleaded 88, throughout the year nationwide. We thank our Representative Dusty Johnson for joining in on this important call to action.

American families continue to be faced with increasing prices at the pump. E15 could save as much as 15 cents per gallon on average compared to E10, putting money back into the pockets of American families.

On behalf of the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, we strongly support the use of year-round E15. It is a win for consumers and farmers here and across the country.
