Welcome to Corn Comments! I'm Reno Brueggeman, a proud farmer from Miller. We are brought to you today by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers who promote corn marketing in this state, the U.S., and around the globe.

Labor Day is a day to celebrate the achievements of the millions of men and women who keep America running… This year, don’t forget to thank a farmer.

Approximately 2.6 million Americans work directly on a farm. Nearly 20 million more work in food and other agricultural-related industries.

Farming and ranching are certainly not your average 9 to 5 job. It’s sun up to sun down work that requires grit, grace, and a little luck.

America’s farmers and ranchers work every day in order to provide America with the most affordable, abundant and safest food supply in the world.
