This week, South Dakota corn farmers are attending the National Corn Growers Association’s twice-yearly Corn Congress. While in Washington, D.C., we’re working on and discussing issues such as tariffs, implementation of the reconciliation bill, ethanol policy to increase corn grind and the endangered species act’s continued impact on crop protection tools. In addition, fertilizer remains on the “must-do” list in light of that sector’s concentration of market power.
All of these topics require ongoing effort in the coming days, months and years. The Corn Utilization Council helps to provide information to growers on these issues and more. Stay tuned.
