Corn Comments: Mental Health Resources

Welcome to Corn Comments! I’m Andrea Bjornestad, SDSU Extension Mental Health Specialist. We are brought to you by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers who promote corn marketing in this state, the US and around the globe.

The stressors of farming and ranching can become overwhelming, but know you are not alone.

SDSU Extension is offering a behavioral health voucher program for farmers, ranchers, agribusiness professionals and their immediate family members. The voucher program will include funding for up to five free mental health counseling sessions at Rising Hope Counseling.

Farmers, ranchers, their family members, and agribusiness professionals can learn more at extension.sdstate.edu or by call Rising Hope at 605-494-1500. These services are free and confidential. Additional information can also be found at sdcorn dot org.

The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council wants you to know that the most important piece of equipment on your farm is you!
