South Dakota had 121 entries into this year’s National Corn Yield Contest. The top 3 yields for each category in South Dakota are listed below. These farmers put up impressive yields in the midst of the worst drought in the last 50 years. In fact, eight entries from 2012 will make South Dakota’s Top 10 all-time yields in their respective categories.
