SD Corn is hiring an Office Manager

South Dakota Corn brings two distinct organizations together to achieve a common goal. The South Dakota Corn Growers Association and the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council work together to improve the lives of South Dakota farmers and increase the economic impact to our state.

South Dakota Corn is seeking a full time Office Manager who will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day leadership and direction to coordinate and oversee our organization’s operations and offers the following:

  • Pay starting at $50,000 to $55,000 annually based on experience

What you will contribute to the team:

  • Process accounts payable via Bill.com, scan bank deposit information, and make bank deposits consistent with internal control policies and procedures.
  • Request funds transfers on behalf of South Dakota Corn Utilization Council from the SD Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
  • Processing refund requests and contacting individuals as needed regarding questions.
  • Coordinate QuickBooks application and provide support to external accounting vendor.
  • Maintain accounts payable invoice system.
  • Process expense reports for Board members and employees.
  • Gather employee payroll information and submit it to Executive Director for approval and to external accounting vendor for processing.
  • Review benefit plans with Human Resources to make recommendations to Executive Director.
  • Assist with development of annual budgeting process for SDCGA and SDCUC.
  • Coordinate with auditor requests during review of annual audit on financial records.
  • Provide support to SDCGA team members and assist with events such as the Golf Fundraiser and Corn Conference.
  • Maintain office equipment and leases for office building and premises.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

How to succeed in this position:

  • Associate degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks desktop, bookkeeping, and office management preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience in Excel preferred.

Experience:

  • Office/Clerical: 2 years (Preferred)
