South Dakota Corn will be hosting Growing On 2011 part 2: Spring Planting and Field Preparation at the following two locations:
February 16th in Watertown – Watertown Event Center
February 17th in Sioux Falls – Ramkota Hotel
These events will be day-long (9:30am -4:00pm) and feature guest speaker, Kevin Kimberley who is known for his on-farm consulting with clients from across the midwest helping them utilize various farming techniques, including: Strip-Till, No-Till, and Full tillage. His clients update their techniques each year based upon Kevin’s annual visit and recommendations. In this clinic, Kevin will discuss issues he has experienced over his 15 years of consulting and he will review problems that arose over the last two growing seasons to help mitigate problems on your farm.
Your yield potential begins in your planter boxes. The past growing season in South Dakota has shown large variation in yield caused by planting depth and spacing. That’s why South Dakota Corn will present Getting Ready for Spring 2011: Planter & Field Preparation Clinic. Ag consultant Kevin Kimberley will teach farmers how to reach ultimate yield potential through planter and field preparation.

• Uneven Emergence
• Trash
• Wrong Planter Attachments
• Preparing ground for Spring
