This weekend includes two more exciting men’s and women’s basketball games between the University of South Dakota Coyotes and the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits as the two universites fight for places within their conference standings and look to grab points in the South Dakota Showdown Series. Each game is worth one point in the year long rivalry competition. Click here to check out the standings.
At both of this weekend’s events, there will be a special game day promotion. Be one of the first fans to make a monetary donation to Feeding South Dakota at the basketball games in Brookings and Vermillion, and you will receive a souvenir ripcord bracelet like the one shown above.
Also taking place this week and through the weekend is the Showdown Series food drive. A friendly competition between Jacks and Coyotes fans to see who can donate more food for the hungry. Food is being accepted at Brookings, Sioux Falls and Vermillion Hy Vee locations. Donations will go to Feeding South Dakota. For more on the food drive, click here
Feeding South Dakota, the state’s number one hunger relief organization, is an important part of the rivalry series as fans are able to not only show their school pride, but also support those in need.
