South Dakota Corn Supports Senate Effort to Increase Fertilizer Market Transparency
“The South Dakota Corn Growers Association (SDCGA) greatly appreciates the inclusion of the Fertilizer Transparency Act of 2026 in the base text of the farm bill released last evening by the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee. Trent Kubik, SDCGA President said, “We thank Senator Thune for his work on behalf of South Dakota farmers on the important issue of input costs. Corn farmers are hard hit by fertilizer expenses and steps towards transparency on pricing would help to improve competition in this sector.”
The South Dakota Corn Growers Association was formed 40 years ago and as part of its mission works on policy issues both in Pierre and Washington, D.C. on behalf of its farmer members.
