Policy and Legislation
South Dakota Corn Growers Association is one of the state’s leading farmer-focused organizations when it comes to policy and legislation, both in Pierre and in Washington, D.C. We fight hard for our members on the issues that matter most.
South Dakota Corn Growers Association works to increase the profitability of all South Dakota Corn farmers through our membership’s strong voice in all legislative activities.
As advocates for our members, the South Dakota Corn Growers Association actively monitors and evaluates legislation affecting farmers both statewide and nationally. Association members decide on legislative priorities. We bring these issues to the attention of elected lawmakers throughout the year and report back to you.
Grassroots connection is one of the most important things we can do as an organization. During the year we like to keep our members informed of what is happening both on a statewide basis and federally. We need farmers like you on our team as we navigate these political waters. We send updates and information out via email on issues that affect you and your farming operation. To be a part of this grassroots organization and be in the know. Click here to join.

We need your help in our efforts to shape opinion, policy and legislation. As a grower and as a constituent, you have the unique ability to convey your views and concerns—and be heard.
During South Dakota’s legislative session, we update a list of proposed legislation, our position on the bills and how farmers can help.
