SD Corn Background:
The South Dakota Corn website is home to information from two distinct organizations working in coordination to achieve common goals. “South Dakota Corn” is the umbrella brand that is familiar to consumers.
The South Dakota Corn Growers Association (SDCGA) is focused on:
- Protecting the freedom to farm
- Improving farmer profitability
- Influencing policy in D.C.
- Advocating for farmers in Pierre
The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council (SDCUC) is responsible for:
- Collecting and administering of the One-cent Checkoff
- Educating consumers
- Developing and maintaining new markets for corn
- Promoting new uses for corn
- Funding important corn research
- Working to increase profitability for all South Dakota farmers
Scope:
- A fresh, intuitive, and modern web redesign
- The goal of the website redesign/rebuild is to create a user-friendly experience for members, consumers and key stakeholders. Key factors and deliverables of the website redesign are: security, speed, stability, customization, ease-of-use, searchability, compliance, and inclusivity.
- The website should be built with ease of updating in mind. Training must be provided to all members of the SD Corn staff based on their unique job requirements.
Stipulations:
- SD Corn will retain all relationships with new and existing vendors and retain new and existing domains.
- SD Corn owns collateral, content and assets.
Preferences:
- South Dakota-based company
- Scrum framework
- Craft CMS
- In-house agricultural experience

- Project summary
- Timeline to complete project during SD Corn FY25, ending June 30
- Cost to complete project and provide maintenance throughout the year, including an hourly rate for site maintenance
