A new study from the U.S. Meat Export Federation shows that in 2025, beef and pork exports accounted for more than 32 million bushels of South Dakota corn usage and added more than 139 million dollars in value to South Dakota corn.

Recently, a Bloomberg article showed that recent earnings reports indicate record profits for fertilizer companies. When input costs go up, a farmer’s profit margin shrinks. Fertilizer companies have certainly shown that they increase prices simply because they can do so.
