Farmland Film coming to Sioux Falls

Posted on April 15, 2014

Most Americans have never stepped foot on a farm, so it can be difficult for folks to understand where their food comes from, how it’s produced and why farmers do what they do. With so many questions being raised about food today, the need for good, factual information is more important than ever before. With that said, what could be better than getting your information straight from the very folks who grow your food?

To help tell the story about today’s modern farms, the new movie Farmland takes viewers to several farms across the country and visits with the next generation of farmers to help people gain a better understanding about their lives, their practices, the challenges they face and the risks they take on year after year.

If you are interested in watching the film, there will be a showing in Sioux Falls on Thursday, May 1 at Century East at Dawley Farm starting at 7:00 PM CT.

Tickets can be bought online at the following link: http://www.cinemark.com/theatre-detail.aspx?node_id=1707&showtime_date=#5/1/2014

You can also buy tickets by calling Century Theater at 605-334-2468

As of right now, this will be the only showing in South Dakota so don’t miss your chance.
