On June 19, the Spring Creek Country Club will host the 15th Annual South Dakota Corn Growers Association (SDCGA) Corn Cob Open. SDCGA members, farmers, agribusiness people, and political leaders will gather in Harrisburg to enjoy a fun and relaxing day at the scenic Spring Creek Country Club Golf Course.
There will be two four-man best ball tournaments, one starting at 8 a.m. and the other at 2 p.m. Prizes will be given to the top three teams of each tournament. Hole-in-one prizes are bigger than ever this year: General Motors is the hole-in-one sponsor, offering a new 2006 Silverado extended cab 4×4 to anyone who sinks a hole-in-one on the designated hole. In addition to the hole-in-one prizes, other great prizes will be awarded on other holes as well. John Morrell will sponsor the noon and evening meals.
Registration for the Corn Cob Open is $50 per golfer for SDCGA members and $90 for non-members; this includes green fees, cart rental, pork lunch and the steak supper. The money raised from this event will help sponsor legislative, educational, and promotional actives for the SDCGA.
Players must pre-register, and spaces are filling up quickly. Don’t miss this opportunity to have a great time and support the SDCGA! For more information or to register your team, call the SDCGA office at (605) 334-0100.
