The Natural Resources Conservation Service has proposed changes to the way the agency will make some wetland determinations. The agency’s proposal filed in the Federal Register states that Prairie Pothole states including Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota would incorporate the use of offsite resources to make official wetland determinations in some instances. The deadline to submit public comments on this matter is Feb. 3, 2015.
