Water Management Webinar: Bioreactors

A team of Extension specialists from several universities in the Upper Midwest are performing a series of monthly webinars (from July through December) on agricultural drainage water management and drainage water quality, with the third webinar taking place tomorrow, September 16th at 9am.

The third webinar which is scheduled for tomorrow September 16th will be focused on bioreactors and will feature Dr. Richard Cooke of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Chad Ingels, ISU watershed specialist.

The next scheduled webinars are set for the following Wednesdays: Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.

The topics to be presented throughout the series include: landscape-level nutrient reduction, controlled drainage, bioreactors, saturated buffers, wetlands, and sub-irrigation and the economics of drainage.

The webinars are structured to provide both the perspective of the farmer and the research/extension specialist and feature instructors and ag engineers from South Dakota State, Iowa State, the University of Minnesota, Purdue, The Ohio State, the University of Missouri, North Dakota State, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois.
