Welcome to Corn Comments! I'm Doug Noem, South Dakota Corn Utilization Council Board Member and a proud farmer from Bryant, South Dakota. We are brought to you by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers who promote corn marketing in this state, the U.S., and around the globe.

Here in our part of the western corn belt, farmers are producing more food and fuel with less inputs such as fertilizer. Even with less fertilizer use, fertilizer supply and pricing are critical for farmers in South Dakota and across the country. This is also a sector that has seen fewer and fewer market participants manufacture or wholesale distribute fertilizer products.

The South Dakota Corn Utilization Council supports meaningful studies and research on important topics such as farm inputs and how it impacts producers. Thanks for tuning in!
