Corn Comments featuring Duane Kummer, Farmer and Commander of Mitchell's VFW Post 2750
Welcome to Corn Comments! I'm Duane Kummer, Commander of Mitchell’s VFW Post 2750, Veteran, and Farmer. We are brought to you today by the South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, a volunteer group of farmers who promote corn marketing in this state, the U.S., and around the globe.
Memorial Day honors fallen armed service members from all America’s wars. According to the USDA, eleven percent of all agricultural producers have served or are serving in the military.
The sacrifices veterans gave in the name of freedom will never be forgotten.
We hope you take time to honor South Dakota’s veterans at the South Dakota State Veterans Cemetery in Minnehaha County, at the Black Hills National Cemetary in Meade County, and everywhere fallen military heroes rest in honor.
